Just got a call from Kim Armstrong, owner of Head Full of Freckles - Kim reports that she and Freckles had a great showing at the APHA Zone 1 Show, in Albany, OR! This show is billed as the 4th largest APHA Show in the nation! Kim and Freckles won 1st under two judges, and 2nd under 4 judges in the Novice Amateur Reining, and 2nd under all 6 judges in the Amateur Reining! They also ended up as Res. Hi Pt. Amatuer Reining for the Zone! Congratulations to you Kim!! Be sure to give Freckles an extra pat and treat for us here!

Kim also showed at the Paint Idaho Supreme - 8/3 - 8/5, winning 1st under all four judges in Jr. Reining (only amateur in a class full of trainers), and 2nd under all four judges in the Amateur Reining! Looks to us like Kim and Freckles are making themselves known!!

Most of our customers have gotten to know Max, our student from France, here for the past 8 weeks to study under Bruce. Max is attending an agricultural college in France, so, unfortunately for us, had only a few months during his Summer break to come to the States. We are going to miss him, and have extending an invitation for Max and his father to visit us again next year - we look forward to having him here again, and would enjoy meeting his extended family!
We'll be sure to keep Max updated on the progress of a few of the 2 yr olds he started for us under Bruce's tutelage - I think he did an excellent job with my filly, Jazzy! What fun that will be when he comes back next year - when she is ready to show in the 3 yr old reining events! I'm sure he will be thrilled to ride her again then!
So, even though we are sad to say good-bye to Max today, we enjoyed having him with us, and look forward to staying in touch!

Another 'glamour shot', done this past weekend, of Robin Fowler's good 2 year old stallion, Miss N Commander', by Miss N Cash, out of Minnie Commander, 1999 AQHA JR Heeling World Champion. Hank has been started right with Bruce, and has now moved to Shawn Hays' barn for the cowhorse events - he is available at private treaty, and will be listed in the Sale Barn. Check with Bruce or Shawn - there aren't many palomino sons of Miss N Cash available, especially as pretty and shapey as this one! This nice prospect is SOLD!! 'Miss N Commander' is going to Brazil!!
