De-construction and construction have begun on the improvements here - the dirt work in the indoor is almost done, and they are almost ready to start setting up forms for the concrete work - the electrician has also been busy. Light fixtures are being ordered, etc...and more dirtwork in the meantime!

WTRHA Lubbock Show Results: Congratulations to Bruce and Dusty Dun Tivio - Int. Open Champions, winning a plaque for owner, Pam Schroeck! Also placed 4th in the Open, earning paychecks in both classes!

Congrats to Eileen Crane, showing Sheza Flashy Rooster, and Shelly Liggett, showing Talk About Flash - Tied 2nd in the Novice Horse Non Pro!

We missed having Kary Key and her mom, Pat Fletcher, at this show! Kary and Pat were planning to drive over to Lubbock early on Saturday morning - Kary was hit with a Tornado in the big storm that came in Friday evening, and had major damage to her place! Luckily, no one was hurt, and all the animals were fine, as well as trucks and trailers, etc. Lots of twisted trees - Kary and Pat ended up staying home to assess damage and do what they could to clean up...we look forward to having them with us at the WTRHA show in Andrews!

Our heartfelt thanks go to Eric and Michelle Leonard - we had storm damage as well, and, because we were in Lubbock when it all hit, they came to the barn to help do what they could to take pix, assess damage, and help clear the debris and batten down what they could!!

We will soon be giving the facility a 'face-lift', so to speak! The contractor will be starting in about a week, with new ground in the indoor - when finished, the indoor will have new ground, wood fencing, screens, and a new viewing area. They will add a new footer to the round pen, and new lighting.
While at that project, the barn will be renovated, adding more stalls, indoor wash bays (with hot water), a half bath, vet stocks, a new tack room for Bruce, and a shop for Gramps, as well as new lighting, etc.
A new hay barn is also slated, but will be added after the main projects...and, possibly, a new carport...Bruce will also have a new H20 Pro to keep the dirt in top condition!
Check in to the News in the coming weeks - we'll be posting pix as the work progresses!

Congratulations to our riders at the WTRHA Graham Show - Pat Fletcher was 1st Place on her good gelding, Curfew Time, in the WTRHA $500 Novice!

Kary Key showed her good gelding, Sprezzatura, placing 2nd in the Intermediate NP, 4th in the Ltd NP, and 4th in the Novice Horse NP.

Dusty Dun Tivio was shown by Bruce for his owner, Pam Schroeck, and earned a check in the Open (tied 4th), a check in the Intermediate Open (tied 3rd), and earned his AQHA ROM with a 3rd in that class as well.

Shelly earned a check in the Intermediate NP on Talk About Flash as well (tied 4th).

Eileen Crane showed her new mare, Sheza Fancy Rooster, for the first time, scoring and placing in her classes - we see good things for these two in their future!

Michelle Leonard showed her mare, Impressive Bit of Smoke, for her first time to show reining horses - showing in the Green as Grass class, she stayed on pattern, earned a score, and got past her markers! Good job, Michelle! We know you are going to have lots of fun with your new mare! Looking forward to seeing you show her again at the APHA World Show in the Novice Amateur Reining!!
